Even in a reusable rocket only a small fraction of the rocket has an environment that can sustain human life and the rest is infrastructure to support that small fraction of the rocket.Michael G Strausshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11580842374977938870noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1580378912972065231.post-89738602359155497602017-10-02T12:20:12.279-05:002017-10-02T12:20:12.279-05:00This comment has been removed by the author.Natehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08761582051547496633noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1580378912972065231.post-42712103990266483852017-09-14T17:03:46.624-05:002017-09-14T17:03:46.624-05:00This comment has been removed by the author.Natehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08761582051547496633noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1580378912972065231.post-40966486470805728092017-06-17T08:24:10.193-05:002017-06-17T08:24:10.193-05:00In response to Dr. Pearlman's implication that...In response to Dr. Pearlman's implication that only a "young earth" interpretation aligns with the Torah I have just posted a new entry about The Six Days of Creation at http://www.michaelgstrauss.com/2017/06/the-six-days-of-creation.html.Michael G Strausshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11580842374977938870noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1580378912972065231.post-20609024951744262092017-06-16T15:45:53.430-05:002017-06-16T15:45:53.430-05:00For readers who don't know, the SPIRAL explana...For readers who don't know, the SPIRAL explanation is an idea proposed by physicist Roger Pearlman who interprets Genesis as giving an age of the universe of only about 5800 years and then tries to interpret the cosmological data in a way to support that. Of course, it is a fallacy to assert that the Bible advocates a 5800 year old universe. The best scholars of ancient Hebrew, like Gleason Archer, will attest that there is no such teaching in the Bible. I'll have to write a blog entry on that in the future. In addition, the proposed science of the SPIRAL explanation is fairly easily refuted, so it is not really a viable option to explain the red shift of galaxies. Pearlman proposes that our galaxy is at the geographical center of a spherical universe. Of course, all measurements of the universe show no indication it is spherical and that it is nearly flat, and the density of galaxies shows we are not at the center. Scientists tend to agree on the explanation for a phenomena because many independent observations support that hypothesis, and there are many other cosmological measurements that support the hypothesis that the red shift is due to cosmic expansion and not something like Pearlman's explanation. Since the Bible does not advocate a 6000-10,000 year old universe and the science give consistent and overwhelming support for a 13.8 billion year old expanding universe, I would assert that fits both the Biblical and scientific record best.Michael G Strausshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11580842374977938870noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1580378912972065231.post-91295490148114555972017-06-16T10:43:33.310-05:002017-06-16T10:43:33.310-05:00nice, but assumes weak SCM assumptions rather than...nice, but assumes weak SCM assumptions rather than the stronger SPIRAL explanation of the natural observations, that conclude ID and YeC.
with no ongoing cosmic expansion.
our (Earth--Sun ecliptic being by the center of the universe.
SPIRAL cosmological redshift hypothesis and cosmology model explains why distant starlight not only aligns w/ Torah/scripture narrative and time line, but attests to it.
the visible universe approximates the entire universe.Pearlman CTAhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12991836230360444387noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1580378912972065231.post-20623511303956649372017-05-04T13:08:45.767-05:002017-05-04T13:08:45.767-05:00Thank you for teaching this.
